Here in one of the most beautiful parts of Britain i.e. Sutherland, where we enjoy one of the best climates, it may surprise you to learn that we very seldom miss hawking days.We offer Hawking Holidays

Hunting with your own hawks is available. We can offer you some fantastic hunting, cheaper than anyone I know in Britain.

For parties of 4 to 6 falconers the price is £200 each per week. For groups of less than 4 the cost is a minimum of £800 for the week. This includes your accommodation fuel One large 47kg bottle free. If you require more the cost is £35 for 19kg and £80 for a 47kg. Bedlinen is supplied but not towels. There is also a damage deposit on arrival of £200 in cash refunded at the end of the holiday if there are no damages and the properties are left clean. Additional Important Information:
Payment is made in 2 parts.  Firstly, accomodation costs are paid in full and in advance. (see accomodation costs listed against each cottage/lodge). Secondly, the balance will be paid in cash along with damage deposit ON ARRIVAL. This change is as a consequence of new and onerous legislation enforced by Trading Standards which requires your money to be bonded or insured and would ultimately result in additional cost to you. We offer high quality accommodation in one of two houses where heating and bed linen is included in the price i.e (First 47kg bottle of gas free) 19KG bottle if required is £35. (NOT TOWELS) Please look up cottages to see pictures of the cottages

All sport is also included. For a party of 4 falconers the average rabbit count is around 70. If you can catch more you are, of course, welcome.

Quarry available here includes: Some wild pheasants (not released ones) which are good sport, excellent flights, but are seldom caught; Greylag geese (still trying to catch one!!); I have now cought my first greylag  and it was no fluke As my female Harris caught another the following day but did not keep hold of it. Woodcock depending on the time of year: NO hares.

I only allow 5 weeks maximum per year to be booked. This means there is no overkill on the population and allows the game to recover. I will be showing you the ground which will give you a better understanding of the land.
I have access to approx 12,500 acres locally. Though not all of is covered in rabbits

The ground is made up of farm land, scrub land, moorland and hillside giving you a variety of terrain. An added advantage of the land I use is that it is quite difficult to lose your bird here because of the nature of the land layout. Sea to the front of you and hills to the back

I prefer two dogs maximum. If your dogs are well behaved and are used to staying in the house,  You need very fit dogs to work the hill.

I also have 3 mews available for your birds within a secure garden area in front of your cottage accommodation. I do not supply ferrets or locators or collers. These will be required to have a successful hunting trip. No Netting and no Lurchers and no Shooting allowed.
